This seminar will help you obtain knowledge to expand database functionalities by adding time series (with date and time) in any set of data that is accessed sequentially. This lets us choose to process and analyze data generated by smart meters, RFiD tags, etc. chronologically.

By the end of the seminar, attendees will be able to:

• Create and configure time series tables
• Define calendars and storage sequences
• Evaluate benefits relative to load time acceleration and realtime availability
• Use the extraction and filtering functions which are native to time series
• Set VTI interfaces for data processing using SQL
• Create data marts and accelerate queries to time series tables
